There is less than 1% of our natural land left in the state of Indiana. The Kettle Lakes Corridor here in St. Joseph County is but a fraction of what remains.
Arranged vertically on the map, these lakes, marshes, and wetlands make up a natural corridor of habitat and resources that benefit migrating birds, wildlife, and people. They are home to numerous endangered, threatened, and watch list plant species.
This project shines a light on one little piece of what is left of the real Indiana — our little piece to protect, restore, learn about, teach about, and celebrate.
